Cheeky Take is an independent UK film and television production company founded by Elizabeth Bouckley and Raphael Zari.
The company develops and produces character-led work for film and television, exploring the space between comedy and drama, where humour, discomfort and emotional truth often sit side by side.
Rooted in an actor-led approach to storytelling, Cheeky Take explores the emotional and comic possibilities of human behaviour. Its work examines awkward encounters, intimate contradictions, modern womanhood, motherhood, social tension and the moments in which people reveal themselves under pressure.

Elizabeth Bouckley is an actor, writer and producer. She co-founded Cheeky Take to develop character-led film and television with a focus on female-led comedy, emotional precision and the honest realities of modern womanhood and motherhood. Her work is drawn to the fine line between the ridiculous and the deeply felt — where humour, tenderness and discomfort often sit side by side.

Raphael Zari is an actor and producer. He co-founded Cheeky Take to develop character-led stories about awkward encounters, social tension and the strange ways people reveal themselves under pressure. He is drawn to comedy born from discomfort and contradiction, as well as work that sits between film and theatre, combining the intimacy of the screen with the intensity of a live performance.
